Major League Baseball teams used equipment?
I know that during the season, Major League teams (and probably Minor League too) use the same equipment, uniforms etc for the year but does anyone know what happens to it after the season is over? Is it donated to local charities, youth teams, etc or reused by the club where possible or simply trashed?
It just goes to the minor leagues for used and over use.
Never really gets released outside of the indistry.
Watch your colleges. I live in Las VEgas and the UNLV teams did this in 2008. They updated all the uniforms for sports and had a weekend long auction. Any old stuff was avaialble to the citizens at a name your price reuest. This did include entire team uniforms. So as I said, watch your local colleges for this type of purchase.
