Are German Gold rams infertile?
Are gold rams infertile i have 2 german blue rams and 1 gold ram and the male german blue ram breed with the female gold and the eggs didn't turn yellow?I know the male is fertile, because he has breed with my other female and the eggs turned yellow is my new female infertile are all gold rams infertile? Please help?!
not necessarily. how do you think the gold rams got here? you may have just gotten an infertile female. it's like albinism. some may be infertile, but most can reproduce fine. the other problem may be inbreeding, which some foolish mass-breeders care nothing about. an inbred female may be infertile, but if the female comes from good stock, she should be able to reproduce.
i have heard though, of cichlids first broods not being successful. a second spawning may be perfectly successful.
