Is an alternate jersey the same as an Authentic Jersey?

i know i sound dumb but i'm trying to find a good Bears Jersey. i have an authentic flacco and he said he wants an authentic cutler.

You are not dumb. A lot of people don't know the difference.

They are NOT the same. Authentic and Replica are ways of describing the style/quality of the jersey. Alternate, Home, Away, etc. are ways of describing the actual colors and design of the jersey.

So you can have an Authentic Alternate Jersey, but you can also have an Authentic Home Jersey. For the Bears:

Blue= Home
White= Away
Orange= Alternate
