Bbq Fork
Bbq Fork

"Time-sensitive" question. I just pulled a 2# pork sirloin roast out of...?
the crockpot. I intend to shred it up w/two forks for bbq pork sands. I have the bbq prepared already.
My first question is this: Which works best, shredding it after letting it sit and cool a bit, or shredding it later after it is cold?
My second question is: I am not serving this until this evening and it is almost 8 a.m. now. When I add the sauce to the pork, when should I do that, and how should I reheat?
PS it is already almost 90 degrees and I do not have A/C...prefer not to use the oven today, I already feel like a baked potato.
You want to shred it while it is still warm..first. I would shred it then put it in a tupperware container and put it in the fridge if the meat is already done. Then about an hour before serving get it out of fridge, put back in crock pot and add souce. Stir til everything is covered and set it on warm or low just to heat it up, I would kinda mix it up every 15 minutes just to distibute the heat evenly.
